Pizzelles

Family recipe from Eunice Petito

Makes ~3 dozen

1/2 C butter
2/3 C sugar
3 eggs
1 t salt
1 t Baking powder

1 t anise oil and 2 T anise seed
OR
1 t orange oil and 2 T orange zest

1 3/4 C flour

Whip the butter and sugar together. Then add the eggs, salt, and baking powder. FInally mix in your flavorings and flour.
Should be softer than cookie dough, but does not pour. Not as runny as cake batter.

Cook fro 2-3 minutes in the pizzelle iron. Cool on wax paper (5 min) and stack them once they are cool enough.
