Greek cookies from Carol Sulkowski
Ingredients
- 2 C sweet butter
- 3/4 C confectioners sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 jigger of brandy, cognac or whiskey
- 4.5 C flour
- whole cloves
- confectioners sugar for topping
Directions
- Cream butter till very lights.
- Gradually beat in sugar, then egg and booze.
- Slowly add in flour to make a soft dough.
- With floured hands, shaped into 1.5 inch balls.
- Stud each ball with 1 whole clove.
- Place on baking sheet, bake at 350 for 15 min.
- Cool slightly, sift confectioners sugar over cookies.
