Ingredients
- Cake
- 2 C sugar
- 2 C flour
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
- 1 C water
- 1/4 C cocoa powder
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 C buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 t salt
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 t vanilla
- Frosting
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/4 C cocoa powder
- 1/4 C milk
- 4 C confectioners sugar
- 1 t vanilla
Directions
Cake
- Preheat oven to 375
- Sift sugar and flour together.
- In a sauce pan melt the butter, oil, water and cocoa.
- Dissolve the baking soda in buttermilk, add the eggs, salt, cinnamon and vanilla.
- Combine all wet and dry ingredients. Pour into a 9×13 pan, and bake for 20 minutes.
Frosting
- Combine butter, cocoa and milk in a saucepan and bring to a low boil.
- Remove from the heat and add confectioners sugar and vanilla.
