Chocolate Chip Cookies
makes 2 dozen
2 C flour1 t salt1 t baking soda1 C (2 sticks) unsalted butter1 C firmly packed dark brown sugar1/2 C sugar2 eggs2 t vanilla2 bars of chopped chocolate
Cream the butter and sugar together. All the air and fluffiness of the cookies comes in this step. Then add each egg individually. Add vanilla.Mix the flour, salt and baking soda together and sift. Add half of this mix to the butter and sugar then slowly add the rest. Fold in the chopped chocolate.
Let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 min to 6 hours depends on how much time you have.
Heat the oven to 325-350. Roll inch balls of dough and place on parchment paper. Bake for 10-11 minutes.
