Show stopping appetizer, decadent, and very customizable. Be creative.
Ingredients:
- Round of Brie
- Puff Pastry or pie crust (your choice)
- Toppings/Filling (pick some or none, up to you)
- Apricot preserves
- Tart apple
- Walnuts
- Raisins
- Crackers, apples, pears to serving
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375
- Cut the top rind off the brie
- Place the Brie on top of 1 sheet of pastry
- Top the brie with any/all of your fillings. (I used apricot preserves and thing sliced apple)
- Cover the brie with a second piece of pastry. Crimp to seal. You can also use a extra large pastry and fold the pastry under the brie and bake it on top of the creases.
- Bake the Brie until the pastry is golden. Roughly 30 minutes? Check after 20…
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes or else the brie will really run out (or maybe you want that!!)
- Serve
