Aloo Tikki
Tasty indian street food. Serve with yogurt and or chutney.
Ingredients
Makes 12, 3 inch rounds.
4 large size Potatoes, boiled |
1/2 cup fresh or frozen Green Peas |
4 tablespoons + 4 tablespoons Dry Breadcrumbs |
1 tablespoon Corn Flour |
1 teaspoon grated Ginger |
2 tablespoons finely chopped Coriander Leaves |
2 Green Chillies, seeded and finely chopped |
1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder |
1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder |
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice or Dry Mango Powder |
1/2 teaspoon Sugar, optional |
Salt |
Oil |
Boil and mash the potatoes. Combine all of the ingredients into a bowl and work into a dough.
Pad them into 1/2 thick patties and coat the outside in more bread crumbs. Then fry in a pan until golden and crispy.
These were a little overcooked and crumbly, and I probably didn’t follow the directions as closely as I could have. They were delicious though!
